Fuel Price Comparison is the latest feature on the Motorist App. It lets users stay up to date with the latest fuel prices across multiple petrol brands.

Fuel cost is probably one of the highest expenditures when it comes to owning a car in Singapore. Compared to our Malaysian neighbours, we are paying close to three times the amount for the same litre of fuel.

That probably explains why so many drivers prefer filling up their gas tanks across the Causeway during pre-Covid times.

For those of us who rather not take that risk, we’d have to rely on fuel discounts and promotions to help us stretch our dollar.

To aid you in your mission of lessening fuel expenses, Motorist has developed a new Fuel Price Comparison feature on the Motorist App that lets you compare pump prices across various fuel brands in Singapore.

By simply indicating your preferred fuel brand and grade on the Motorist App, you will receive a notification informing you whenever there is a change in fuel price. It even displays which credit card you should use to enjoy maximum savings.

If you are planning to lower your fuel expenses, look no further, because this feature was developed just for you!

How to Use Fuel Price Comparison on the Motorist App

Set Your Preferred Fuel Brand & Grade

Open the Motorist App and go to your Profile followed by Settings. There, you have the option to select your preferred fuel brand and grade. If you are not a brand loyalist, you may select multiple brands and grades to watch.

Once you have selected your preferred fuel brand and grade, you will automatically receive notifications when there is a price change.

Locating Fuel Price Comparison

To locate our latest feature, please go to your Dashboard and look under the Drive section.

Compare Petrol Prices

As the name suggests, you will be shown a table of the latest pump prices across the five different fuel brands and grades available in Singapore.

Fuel Prices Trend

This section will allow you to observe the trend of fuel prices across different date ranges. Similar to watching stock prices, you will be able to compare prices from 6, 12 and 24 months ago (data not available currently).

Petrol Prices with Discount

Probably the most important aspect of our latest feature, this table will show you the best credit cards to use to enjoy the most savings while pumping petrol.

If you are not using the ideal credit card, simply tap on the green ‘Apply’ button and it will direct you to the credit card application form of the relevant banks.
